
Admiral Group (Cardiff, Wales), one of the U.K.’s largest auto insurers, sought greater product speed-to-market and found it in Guidewire’s PolicyCenter core system component. The insurer also selected Guidewire BillingCenter to manage its billing operations.
“We were looking for policy and billing systems that would allow us to make product changes quickly and easily,” comments Charlotte Bennett, head of IT, Admiral Group. “The out-of-the-box functionality and flexible architecture provided by PolicyCenter and BillingCenter will enable us to develop and change our products faster.”
Admiral, was the first U.K. insurer to offer multi-vehicle policies, under its MultiCar trademark, and has a reputation for product innovation, according to a Guidewire statement. “We were very impressed with how PolicyCenter and BillingCenter handled MultiCar insurance, the capabilities the systems provide for future innovation, as well as with the experience of the dedication of the Guidewire team,” Bennett adds.
Among the benefits Admiral expects the Guidewire core system components to deliver are the following, according to the vendor:
- Increase operational efficiencies to more easily and quickly implement product and system changes;
- Easily configure the solutions’ features and functionality to address the organization’s specific requirements and innovations, while adopting out-of-the-box business best practices; and
- Standardize policy administration and billing practices for consistency and accuracy.
