GuideOne Insurance (West Des Moines, Iowa) has selected Roost’s (Sunnyvale, Fla.) property telematics solution as a way of engaging with its church policyholders across all 50 states and reducing the risk of property damage claims. With the launch of an initial pilot program with Roost, GuideOne Insurance will provide free Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detectors to participating policyholders, the vendor reports.

The value of the Roost devices includes their ability to provide early warning to church pastors and their facility managers of potential water leaks, freeze situations and high humidity instances that can damage property. The deployment of the devices also serves as a demonstration to GuideOne’s policyholders that, through Roost’s Smart Sensors, the carrier is using the latest technologies to help protect and mitigate claims on a constant basis, according to the vendor.
