Instec, a provider of program business and specialty lines policy administration software, has partnered with document and customer communications vendor GhostDraft to provide Instec’s customer the ability to create and customize policy forms within the vendor’s Quicksolver policy administration system. Instec says the new capabilities will give customers increased self-configuration options and faster time-to-market for new insurance products and programs.
The partnership between Instec and GhostDraft addresses what the former characterizes as the desire on the part of an increasing number customers seeking to control rates, underwriting rules and forms in order to accelerate product speed-to-market without compromising on cost or reliability. The vendor identified GhostDraft as a partner to provide user-friendly document composition and management capabilities for clients seeking to create and manage their own forms.
“Instec selected GhostDraft to extend Quicksolver’s current forms management and print capabilities to match the growing needs of insurers to create and customize forms with the product,” comments Ray Simon, president and CEO, Instec. “GhostDraft’s commitment to preserving the existing forms library for current Quicksolver customers, in addition to adding these new capabilities, was an extremely important consideration for Instec.”
Integrating policy form creation and customization with Quicksolver meets a variety of desiderata for carriers, MGAs and MGUs, including the following:
- Increased self-sufficiency
- Abbreviated product and program creation cycle times
- The ability to get into productive markets and out of unprofitable ones faster
Having sought a best-of-breed partner, Instec describes GhostDraft as a reliable and stable partner, eager to respond quickly to new projects and challenges, with a shared commitment to delivering quality software. The two firms share a record of successful implementations, deep domain expertise and highly qualified, long-tenured staff, Instec asserts.
The partnership also a natural one when considering some of Quicksolver’s attributes, Instec argues. Unlike many other policy admin systems that require a high degree of configuration or custom development, Quicksolver combines out-of-the-box ISO, NCCI, AAIS and state-specific content with advanced rate and rule configuration options, which dramatically reduce implementation and time-to-market, the vendor alleges. The integration of GhostDraft document creation, composition and communication technology into Quicksolver will further accelerate speed time-to-market, giving users the ability to deliver highly differentiated products and programs to market faster than the competition, according to Instec.
