Frederick Mutual Insurance Company (FMIC; Frederick, Md.), a provider of small business and homeowner’s insurance in the mid-Atlantic region, engaged with BriteCore (Springfield, Mo.), a provider of cloud-based core software solutions for insurers, to provide an app where policyholders can easily access their insurance information from their personal electronic devices.
Following a rapid, three-week implementation, FMIC customers now enjoy new, digital self-service capabilities such as policy management, making online payments, filing claims, contacting agents, uploading photos and more, according to a BriteCore statement. This self-service app will not only benefit policyholders but will save time for Frederick Mutual staff and agents as call volumes and processing time get reduced through policyholders inputting information via BriteApps, according to the statement.

“The policyholder portal better serves our clients who want easier and more convenient access to their policy, documents, and claims,” comments Nancy Newmister, President & CEO, FMIC. “Providing tools to help small businesses and homeowners thrive is a part of our long tradition of service. We are excited to continue adapting to our clients’ changing needs.”
BriteApps expands on BriteCore’s flexible, cloud-based digital platform utilized by FMIC. The BriteCore platform includes core processing, digital experience, and data and analytics capabilities that provide end-to-end support for P&C insurance operations.
“Our team congratulates FMIC on these new digital capabilities and the enhanced customer experience they are able to provide,” comments Jeff Haner, VP, Marketing, BriteCore.
