Former ING divisional CIO Sallie Graves has been named senior VP and CIO of MagMutual Insurance Company. Graves will design and lead enterprise IT for the Atlanta-based medical malpractice insurer and provider of practice-improving patient safety resources for physicians and hospitals.
“Sallie has a proven record of success in hands-on and leadership capacities developing smart and sustainable IT solutions,” comments Neil Morrell, president, MagMutual. “She will be charged with implementing an IT strategy that drives operational efficiency, cost, competitive advantage and higher levels of service for the company. Her extensive background in large-scale business and insurance makes her exceptionally qualified to lead these efforts.”
Most recently, Graves was global senior IT director for strategic governance and enterprise solutions at The Coca-Cola Company (Atlanta). She led a solution delivery methodology improvement initiative across global IT to increase efficiency and effectiveness. She worked on a project to create an application development marketplace and a managed service for application support.
During a 10-year period at ING North American Insurance, Graves served as the divisional CIO responsible for developing new technology applications and anticipating infrastructure needs as business expanded. She also held positions as IT director with ERP Technologies, consultant with PeopleSoft and project leader in supply chain solutions for Milliken & Company.
