Eos Venture Partners Enters Israeli InsurTech Market

The London-based, insurance focused VC fund has added Osnat Segev-Harel as a Venture Partner.

Eos Venture Partners, a London-based strategic venture capital fund focused exclusively on the insurance industry, today announced the expansion of its market presence with the entrance to the Israeli market in search of InsurTech innovation.)

Founded by Sam Evans, Carl Bauer and Jonathan Kalman in 2016, Eos has offices in London and Philadelphia. Eos reports that Kalman will visit Israel this week, conducting meetings with startups and venture capital firms active in the InsurTech space.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to engage with the Israeli high-tech market and have Eos become an active player in the local InsurTech scenem,”Kalman comments. “We have seen many successful insurance technologies and business models emerge from Israel, and we will be watching the market closely to find suitable candidates that fit our investment strategy.”

In its entry into the Israeli InsurTech market, Eos says it will apply its established business model of forging close strategic partnerships with its limited partners (LPs) to drive return on investment and innovation. Eos says it works with its LPs to develop, refine and execute a tailored innovation strategy to drive growth, improve profitability and enhance customer propositions.

Osnat Segev-Harel has joined Eos as a Venture Partner focused on the Israeli InsurTech market. With over two decades of experience in banking and insurance, Segev-Harel runs a boutique advisory firm called Scale up Services, focused on growth strategy initiatives. “She brings a unique view of innovation and growth, with focus on insurance,” an Eos statement says. “Her experience working with foreign investors and young startups is ideally suited for scouting and nurturing emerging InsurTech opportunities.”
