Elafris, Inc. (San Francisco) made news during Aug. 2016 with the integration of its artificial intelligence-powered chatbot messaging platform with Majesco and Silvervine’s core insurance system suites. Elafris announced today that it has partnered with NLR Resources Inc. (Santa Margarita, Calif.), a consulting group specialicing in payment solutions, to integrate payment processing services with the Elafris platform.
“We were impressed with Elafris’ AI messaging capabilities,” comments Rok Daneshfar, Director of Business Development, NLR Resources. “Millennials spend more time in messengers than in social media platforms, so enabling payments for insurance—without leaving the messenger—makes total sense!”
Elafris’ messaging software platform enables insurers and agents to communicate with insureds via messenger solutions, such as Facebook Messenger, instead of through emails or phone calls. The Elafris solution delivers a wide array of functionality and services to support the insurance value chain from policy servicing to payment needs. The Elafris system uses machine learning to interact intelligently, in the manner of a virtual assistant. It can be taught to answer questions, respond appropriately, suggest ancillary coverages and next steps based on the scope of the customer interaction. For example, during an auto insurance claim, the Elafris chatbot could offer roadside assistance or assist a policyholder with glass replacement.
Responding to the Needs of Today’s Consumers
Elafris characterizes the NLR Resources collaboration as furthering its mission to blend the needs of digital and mobile-focused consumers with the rigorous compliance requirements of the insurance industry. A vendor statement announcing the new partnership says that by automating payment processing, value-added sales opportunities and day-to-day operational tasks, Elafris helps its clients elevate their interactions with customers and respond to the needs of today’s consumers—especially millennials who are increasingly demanding ways to communicate using messenger technology.
“We’re excited about the partnership with NLR Resources,” comments Jake Diner, CEO, Elafris. “Our business model focuses on innovation and efficiencies, and integrating the technology available through NLR aligns well with our goal of making it easy for insurers and financial services companies to communicate with 21st century customers – most specifically, millennial consumers who expect businesses to be able to communicate the way they want to—by messenger.”
