EigenRisk (Ann Arbor, Mich.) has appointed Daniel Grimwood-Bird VP, Sales, EMEA.
Based in London, Grimwood-Bird will help build EigenRisk’s insurance carrier, brokerage and risk management client base across Europe, with an initial focus on the London market, according to an EigenRisk statement.
Grimwood-Bird brings more than 20 years of risk and insurance experience, with a focus on business development and growth for technology-related solutions.
EigenRisk says the appointment comes as the company continues global expansion of its EigenPrism catastrophe-risk management platform. The cloud-based platform supports property/casualty underwriting, portfolio management, claims and risk management professionals with data management, geo-visualization, analytics, reporting, modeling, alerts and APIs.
EigenPrism gives users access to datasets from more than 40 partners with capabilities in catastrophe risk modeling, data augmentation, real-time event monitoring and imagery.
“With the frequency and severity of catastrophic events increasing throughout the world, more insurance and risk professionals are relying on our comprehensive platform to address their complex catastrophe risk management needs,” comments Deepak Badoni, President and Co-Founder, EigenRisk.
Badoni says Grimwood-Bird’s experience in insurance and technology-driven solutions will support EigenRisk’s growth in the EMEA region.
Grimwood-Bird joins EigenRisk from Nauto, where he was Head of Insurance. He previously served as CRO, Maptycs, and held sales leadership and management roles at McKenzie Intelligence Services and ICEYE.
He began his career with BGL Group, a U.K.-based insurance intermediary.
EigenRisk provides catastrophe-risk management technology for reinsurers, insurers, MGAs, brokers and risk managers. Its platform integrates hazard data, event projections and simulations from public and private sources to support a more dynamic view of risk.
