Ebix Works with Swiss Re to Enhance Life Guide Underwriting Manual

The next-generation version of Life Guide and a new online Medical Education and Reference Library will allow Swiss Re to better partner with clients and serve their underwriting needs, says Swiss Re’s chief underwriter.

Ebix has extended its relationship with Swiss Re Holding Corporation (Armonk, N.Y.) to both enhance Swiss Re’s evidence based online Life Guide manual and expand the company’s underwriting training capabilities with a new supplementary resource called an online Medical Education and Reference Library.

Ebix characterizes Life Guide as the “gold standard” for life and health insurance underwriters, aiding them with their decision-making processes and overall training and education. The next generation of Life Guide and the new Medical Education and Reference Library will be supported by A.D.A.M.’s Comprehensive Consumer Health Information, Medical Illustrations and Animations. The addition of 20 on-demand learning courses will further enhance what Ebix calls Swiss Re’s already robust eLearning modules for underwriting training.

Ebix Vice President Soula Chronopoulos comments, “Our A.D.A.M. product in the form of illustrations, animations, and health content supplementing Swiss Re’s Life Guide and the new Library resource, will allow underwriters access to new robust training material to help them ultimately underwrite risks more accurately and efficiently.”
