Dovetail developed a cloud-based technology platform that enables independent insurance agents to obtain online quotes from multiple insurance providers and bind insurance policies in real time. A Duck Creek statement describes Dovetail’s platform as enabling independent insurance agents to deliver better, more efficient service and an expanded product selection to their clients, while providing insurance carriers with a new channel to distribute their products. The vendor says that the new relationship will give Dovetail increased technology resources and the capability to scale its business more rapidly.

“Duck Creek’s sophisticated technology will enhance the speed and quality of our service delivery,” comments Rich Drab, CEO, Dovetail Insurance. “We believe that this strategic relationship is a win-win for carriers, agents and their clients.”

John Drzik, president of Global Risk & Specialties at Marsh couches the strategic partnership announcement in the context of an accelerated pace of innovation in insurance distribution driven by technology. “Dovetail’s strategic relationship with Duck Creek accelerates our ability to bring new and better solutions to the small commercial market,” he says.
