Donegal Insurance Group, a Marietta, Pa.-based group of insurance companies providing commercial and personal insurance products, has selected Guidewire Software’s (Foster City, Calif.) InsurancePlatform Core and Data products to replace legacy systems and modernize the way it does business. The company will implement the products for all of its lines of business, beginning with workers’ compensation, followed by its other commercial lines, and concluding with personal lines. Guidewire PartnerConnect Consulting member Ernst & Young LLP (EY, London) will support the implementation with Guidewire, according to a vendor statement.

Donegal Insurance Group has selected Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire Client Data Management, Guidewire Product Content Management, Guidewire Rating Management, and Guidewire Reinsurance Management as its new underwriting, policy administration, client data, product content, rating, and reinsurance management systems, the vendor reports. With the selection of PolicyCenter, the company is now a full Guidewire InsuranceSuite customer, having previously deployed Guidewire ClaimCenter in 2007 and Guidewire BillingCenter in 2015. Donegal Insurance Group also selected Guidewire DataHub and Guidewire InfoCenter for enterprise-wide data management and business intelligence. The company also selected Guidewire Predictive Analytics to embed predictive insights into ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter, creating what the vendor calls a Smart Core system.

By selecting Guidewire for its policy administration and data analytics platforms, Donegal will be able to streamline its workflows and significantly enhance processing efficiency, according to Sanjay Pandey, SVP and CIO, Donegal. “We feel that Guidewire’s product and technology roadmaps are closely aligned with Donegal’s business and growth strategies and that the Guidewire platform will support our current and future technology needs,” he comments.
