Donegal Insurance Group (Marietta, Pa.), a group of insurers providing personal, farm and commercial insurance, announced that it recently completed implementation of Guidewire Software’s (Foster City, Calif.) BillingCenter as its new billing solution. The BillingCenter selection expanded an existing relationship with Guidewire, whose ClaimCenter system the carrier deployed in 2007.
The BillingCenter initiative replaces Donegal’s three legacy billing systems, which will enable the carrier to standardize and unify billing processes for agents and policyholders. The initiative involved 18 system integration points and is being deployed by state, beginning with new business in each state.
Since completing the BillingCenter deployment, Donegal reports benefits such as real-time processing, ease of use and speed of making system changes. The carrier has also enjoyed positive feedback from customers an internal users, according to Michael Simms, AVP, IT, Donegal Insurance Group.
Single Platform Billing
