Donegal Insurance Group has selected Guidewire Software’s (Foster City, Calif.) BillingCenter as the Marietta, Pa.-based regional P&C carrier’s new billing platform. The decision was influenced by Donegal’s successful implementation of Guidewire ClaimCenter in 2007.

“One of the key drivers that led us to BillingCenter was our experience with the Guidewire team and ClaimCenter over the past several years,” Sanjay Pandey, Donegal’s senior VP and CIO elaborates. “We have been continually impressed with Guidewire’s technology and architecture and are excited about the vision Guidewire has for its products.”
Among the benefits of BillingCenter to Donegal will be the improvement of agent and policyholder experience, according to a Guidewire statement. From the perspective of external users, the application will enable the carrier to provider faster response times and greater flexibility to customers. From an internal perspective, BillingCenter gives Donegal a more intuitive platform with which to improve the agent and policyholder experience according to the vendor.
“A Modern, configurable application such as BillingCenter makes it easier for policyholders and agents to work together and for us to provide the best possible experience to our customers,” adds Pandey.
