Denise Garth has joined Majesco, a New York-based provider of core insurance systems and IT services, as senior VP of marketing with a focus on strategic marketing, industry relations and innovation. In her new role, Garth will work closely with Majesco’s customers, partners and the industry in general to support Majesco’s strategy, according to a statement from the vendor.
“Denise is a tremendous addition to our leadership team,” comments Ed Ossie, COO, Majesco. “She is a well-respected, strategic thinker with a strong grasp of the key issues and opportunities facing the industry today and in preparation for the future.”

Garth has been a highly visible industry figure for the better part of two decades. At ACORD (Pearl River, N.Y.), she served as VP of standards and membership, focused on expanding the industry technology standards organization’s international presence. At services and systems vendor Innovation Group (Hampshire, U.K. and Farmington, Conn.) Garth was executive VP for strategic marketing and global head of market stratety. Most recently, Garth was chief digital officer at research and advisory firm Strategy Meets Action (SMA, Boston). Earlier in her career, Garth held business and technology senior executive roles at carriers such as Mutual of Omaha, CUNA Mutual and Century Cos. of America.

Majesco notes Garth’s domestic and international insurance and financial services experience spanning all lines of business across L&A and P&C domains, and says that the combination of her extensive insurance business experience, global industry engagement and deep IT knowledge bring the vendor a powerful combination of skills.
