Davies (London) has appointed Alban de Vatteville Group CFO.
De Vatteville will join Davies later this year, report to Dan Saulter, Group CEO, Davies, and become a member of the firm’s Group Executive Committee, according to a Davies statement.
He joins Davies from NielsenIQ, where he is Deputy CFO and CFO of NIQ’s Activation business, a project-based analytics and services business generating about $750 million in annual revenue.
Davies says de Vatteville brings experience in public and private capital markets, finance transformation, international financial performance, acquisition integration and business separation. At NielsenIQ, he held senior finance leadership roles as the company moved from public-company status to private equity ownership and back to the public markets.
“I am delighted to welcome Alban to Davies,” comments Saulter. “His global finance experience, work with private and public capital markets, leadership success, and transformation track-record will help us to deliver on our Vision 2030 strategy, as we seek to double the size of the business over the coming years.”
Supporting AI and Growth Strategy
Based at Davies’ global headquarters in London’s insurance district, de Vatteville will support the delivery of the firm’s Vision 2030 strategy, including operational efficiency, investment in AI and automation, and organic and M&A-led growth.
Davies says it has accelerated its AI strategy during the past year through leadership appointments, increased investment in AI and GenAI technologies, and rollout of agentic AI capabilities within its ClaimPilot technology suite.
The firm says those capabilities are intended to help insurers improve efficiency, speed and customer experience.
“Davies has built something rare in this market: genuine scale across the insurance value chain and significant opportunities for further value creation,” comments de Vatteville. “I have been particularly impressed by the strength of the leadership team and its partnership with BC Partners.”
De Vatteville says he looks forward to working with the Davies leadership team to accelerate organic growth and cash generation, capture benefits of scale and support disciplined investment.
Davies provides professional services and technology for the insurance and other highly regulated sectors.
