DataCubes Adds Aspen Insurance CIO Mary Kotch to Board of Directors

Kotch joins the company after an extremely active year during which several insurers became DataCubes clients, including The Hanover, Selective Insurance, RLI, Columbia Insurance Group and Penn National Insurance.

DataCubes, a Schaumburg, Ill.-based decision automation platform for commercial property/casualty underwriting, has announced that it has appointed Mary Kotch to its board of directors. Kotch currently serves as the Global CIO for Aspen Insurance (Hamilton, Bermuda), a global specialty insurer and reinsurer. Kotch joins the company after an extremely active year during which several insurers became DataCubes clients, including The Hanover, Selective Insurance, RLI, Columbia Insurance Group, Penn National Insurance, Tangram, WCF Insurance and Synergy Coverage Solutions. The firm has also made key appointments during 2019, including naming John Henry Chief Analytics Officer, Phil Alampi VP of Customer Engagement, and Glenn Cannon VP of Sales.

As Global CIO for Aspen Insurance, Kotch is responsible for leading the transformation of the company’s IT strategy, focusing on revenue growth through the use of technology and ensuring alignment between IT, the business and its customers. Previously she served as the Executive VP, Group CIO for Validus Holdings, a global insurer/reinsurer. Kotch is also an advisory board member for a number of companies including Pillar Tech, RequirementOne, Aquiline Technology Investment Fund, Pharmaceutical IMPACC, ACORD Model Driven Framework and Behavioral Health Committee for Informatics. Kotch hold a J.D. from Temple University and a B.S. and MBA from Penn State University.
