COUNTRY Financial’s Sapiens ALIS Deployment Marks First Phase of PAS Replacement

The insurer has rolled out the system for its whole and term life business, with plans to consolidate all of its life, health and annuity business onto the ALIS environment and retire its legacy policy systems.

COUNTRY Financial has deployed the Sapiens ALIS system to support its life insurance business, beginning with whole life and term product lines, as part of a multi-phased program. The Bloomington, Ill.-based carrier expects new business to rise to over 3000 policies per month during the next few months as it rolls out ALIS to all of its distribution channels and districts.

In this first phase of the deployment, COUNTRY also achieved its stated goal of self-sufficiency for ongoing ALIS configuration and maintenance, according to a Sapiens statement. Subsequent phases include rollout for long term care, annuities, universal life, disability insurance and Medicare supplement. In-force policy conversions are underway, with the objective of consolidating all of COUNTRY Financial’s life, health and annuity business onto the ALIS environment and decommissioning the carrier’s legacy policy administration systems, according to the Sapiens statement.

“The ALIS system is a great fit for the organization and our modernization initiative,” comments Mark Streitmatter, ITS director, COUNTRY Financial. “The system provides us the functionality and flexibility to meet our life, health and annuity processing needs, and Sapiens’ partnership has enabled us to meet our goal of self-sufficiency to maintain the system in house. The Sapiens team of skilled professionals and a strong partnership were keys in helping us achieve our objectives.”
