Columbus Life Insurance Company (Cincinnati) has adopted iPipeline’s (Exton, Pa.) DocFast to automate policy delivery. iPipeline describes DocFast as streamlining the customer communication experience across the channel by digitally sending policies and critical business documents. The rapid digital delivery and two-way communications offer speed-to-market advantages and allow requirements to be collected with ease, making communication immediate, and quickly and securely delivering documents, according to the vendor.
“Columbus Life prides itself on high touch and personal relationships with independent producers, comments Steve Sanders, senior VP and chief marketing officer, Columbus Life. “At the same time, we also want to be a technology-driven company with a focus on improving the digital experience for consumers and financial professionals.”
Millennial buyers represent the most promising demographic segment for insurance sales, and these consumers seek immediate gratification from their purchase experience—for insurance as with other products and services, according to Tim Wallace, CEO, iPipeline. “DocFast has the ability to revitalize how business is done, providing two-way communications to improve client interaction during the most critical steps in the buying process, including policy delivery,” he says. “It’s all about speed-to-market advantages and meeting consumer expectations, and I am pleased to see Columbus Life continue to champion the use of technology in the market place.”
Eliminating Paper Distributions
“As a progressive carrier, we advocate leveraging innovative technology that makes doing business faster, easier and more effective for our producers and customers,” adds Columbus Life’s Sanders. “We see DocFast e-Delivery enabling us to improve agent and consumer two-way communications and simplifying the policy issuance process by virtually eliminating the paper distributions over time. We see this significantly reducing the time it takes to issue and place a policy in force which will be a major benefit to all parties.”
