Columbian Financial Group (CFG; Binghamton, N.Y.), a provider of niche insurance including a full range of life and annuity products, has retained Equisoft (Montreal) as a supplier of software and services for a multi-year modernization project to support the insurer’s long-term vision and its particular distribution requirements. The project includes deploying Equisoft’s InsuranceElements suite for quotes and illustrations, electronic application and self-service portals, implementing Oracle Insurance Policy Administration, and migrating data from CFG’s legacy policy administration platforms, the vendor reports.

Jordan Baugh, CIO, Columbian Financial Group.

“We sought a vendor with an extensive track record in the life and annuity market, and a proven implementation and data migration approach,” comments Jordan Baugh, CIO, CFG. “After an extensive search, we’re confident that we’ve selected not just a vendor or system integrator, but a true business partner.”

Guidance Through the Modernization Journey

“Combining Equisoft’s InsuranceElements and the Oracle solution will allow us to efficiently add, sell and administer new products through the complete policy life cycle—from point of sale through claims processing,” comments Jeanne Clarke, Senior VP, CFG. “We look forward to taking advantage of Equisoft’s insight and ability to effectively guide us through our modernization journey.”
