Seguros Bolívar a Bogotá, Colombia-based multiline insurer has licensed dacadoo’s (Zurich) technology to power its Digital Health Engagement Platform that provides value-added services aimed at encouraging policyholders to adopt healthier lifestyles. Seguros Bolivar will deploy its Digital Health Engagement Platform through its app called “Bolivar Conmigo” to its customers as a complementary benefit during the first quarter of 2021.
“At Seguros Bolívar we believe that taking care of people in a comprehensive way means to support them not only with specialized protection products but with everyday tools that help and guide them to lead a calmer and healthier life,” comments Javier Suárez, President, Seguros Bolívar. “For us this is a necessary step to focus decisively on prevention and health promotion, with an improved customer experience and in tune with our philosophy of enriching every life with integrity.”
dacadoo specializes in supporting the digital transformation of insurers through Health Risk Quantification and Digital Health Engagement Platforms. The vendor’s solutions, which it reports have been implemented by over 35 of the top 100 global life or health insurers, offer a means for its insurer clients to minimize risk in underwriting while also being able to connect and engage with their members in a more personalized manner.
Informed Decisions about Healthier Lifestyle
Seguros Bolívar’s Digital Health Engagement Platform uses dacadoo’s technology, built on over 300 million person-years of clinical data and including automated digital health coaching with gamification and social media features, the vendor says. The vendor describes the core of its technology the dacadoo Health Score, which quantifies holistic health in a single number from 0 (poor) to 1,000 (excellent). As the Health Score changes in real time depending on the users’ health, they will be able to make informed decisions about their own lifestyles and opt for healthier habits on a daily basis.
“We are delighted to enter this partnership with Seguros Bolívar, which is one of the leading insurance companies in Colombia,” comments Peter Ohnemus, President and CEO, dacadoo. “We’re proud to provide our technology and to work around the clock to make their Digital Health Engagement Platform a success among their clients. We look forward to many more years of fruitful cooperation with Seguros Bolívar in the South American market!”
