CLARA Analytics (Sunnyvale, California) has launched CLARA Intelligence-as-a-Service (IaaS), a data-driven analytics platform designed to help insurance carriers and self-insured organizations improve claims outcomes through benchmarking and strategic decision-making.

The solution draws from what CLARA describes as the largest claims artificial intelligence dataset of bodily injury cases across workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability. It uses more than a decade of claims records to generate granular insights that can be applied to reserving, litigation management, and operational improvement.

CLARA IaaS enables claims organizations to benchmark performance against peers and evaluate internal practices based on variables such as jurisdiction, occupation, injury type, and geography. It also supports customized reporting and standardized key performance indicators across claims, litigation, and reserving metrics.

“The breadth and depth of our dataset is unmatched. When carriers want to know what’s truly happening in their business and where they stand in the market, there’s no better source of truth,” says Heather H. Wilson, CEO, CLARA Analytics. “CLARA IaaS gives insurers insights they’ve never had before—the ability to clearly see where they stand, anticipate challenges, and make decisions with confidence.”

Shift Toward Proactive, Strategic Leadership

CLARA reports that early users have applied the platform to evaluate reserving practices, including identifying over- or under-reserving based on loss triangles. This type of analysis, the company states, can influence underwriting performance visibility and balance sheet management.

“This isn’t just an improvement to claims management; it’s a shift toward proactive, strategic leadership,” Wilson says. “With CLARA IaaS, insurers finally have the clarity and control they need to drive better outcomes.”

CLARA IaaS is now available for workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability claims.
