CGI (Fairfax, Va.) has announced availability of version 8 of its Ratabase insurance rating solution. New features of Ratabase 8 include enhanced design, analysis and reporting functionality, as well as a better user experience and simplified workflow designed to help carriers increase productivity, efficiency and speed-to-market.
CGI characterizes Ratabase 8’s new capabilities as empowering business users to deploy complex rating programs in a fraction of the time and cost of other applications, while maintaining the system’s proven performance and scalability.
Ratabase 8 reflects the vendor’s attention to clients’ suggestions for enhancements that would dramatically improve their productivity, according to Phillip Crenshaw, the vendor’s VP of Insurance Solutions. “CGI’s Ratabase 8 introduces the features that insurance carriers need to design and deploy new insurance products more efficiently, effectively and rapidly,” he comments.
Highlights of Ratabase 8 include the following, according to a vendor statement:
– New Ratabase apps for analytical modeling, reporting, integration and performance to provide faster, more efficient delivery of functionality to clients;
– Table and Formula editor fully integrated with Microsoft Excel, combining the power and flexibility of Ratabase with the functionality and familiarity of the widely used Microsoft application;
– Configurable user roles to enable carriers to control security settings and accessibility; and
– Enhanced user interface with dashboards – such as a My Work task list – and streamlined workflow.
