CGI  (Montreal) has announced that it will integrate its products with OneShield Software (Marlborough, Mass.) into a managed services platform for insurance clients. The resulting offering will combine the capabilities of CGI’s Ratabase with OneShield along with CGI’s global infrastructure and change management services. The platform leverages pre-built APIs, micro-services, pre-existing content, features and functions. The vendor says it also improves response time to introduce innovation; reduces operating costs; and minimizes risk for carriers seeking to navigate market changes.

CGI describes the Ratabase Suite as having been developed for insurers who are at a crossroads resulting from the limitations of their legacy systems and market demand for product innovation. The vendor pitches the platform with OneShield as an option for carriers who do not want to invest in replacing systems with the typical build-to-order core system options available today.
