Capricorn Mutual provides risk protection for about 32,000 small automotive businesses across Australia and New Zealand. The mutual selected Duck Creek to support its long-term strategy of improving member experience, strengthening operations and creating a foundation for future growth.

“This is an important step forward for Capricorn Mutual and reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in the future of our Members,” comments Damon de Nooyer, Chief Financial Services Officer, Mutual Management, Capricorn. “By modernising our core systems, we’re building a stronger, more resilient business that can continue to deliver the protection, service and support our Members rely on.”

Duck Creek says the implementation provides Capricorn Mutual with a connected, cloud-native foundation that supports automation, stronger governance, improved data quality, operational efficiency and future innovation.

Using Duck Creek’s open APIs, the implementation integrated the new core platform with other systems, including banking, vehicle and property intelligence, financial management, and proprietary technology.

Duck Creek says the deployment reflects continued momentum in the APAC region, where insurers and mutuals are modernizing core operations to improve agility and prepare for data-driven and AI-enabled capabilities.
