CAMICO (San Mateo, Calif.), the largest CPA-directed program of insurance products and risk management solutions for the accounting profession in the United States, has licensed Insurity’s (Hartford) BridgeXPress Suite to replace the insurer’s core-processing systems with an integrated solution that encompasses the entire policy lifecycle. The suite enables the insurer to eliminate the latencies of its existing system across MGA and carrier operations to improve efficiency and maintenance of their professional and employment practices liability lines of business, according to a vendor statement, according to a vendor statement.

Due to the demands of its specialty lines business, CAMICO sought to replace its legacy systems with a robust and configurable platform that can serve as a reliable foundation to facilitate product innovation and improve speed-to-market. The insurer chose the cloud-hosted BridgeXPress Suite to remove the burden of on-premise IT infrastructure and limit the administrative needs and associated costs for CAMICO.

“The Insurity team understood our unique needs as a specialty lines carrier,” comment Jag Randhawa, CIO, CAMICO. “The BridgeXPress Suite not only serves as a replacement for our existing core processing platform but offers the flexibility to make system changes quickly in accordance with the ever-shifting market needs.”

The BridgeXPress Suite was designed for specialty lines carriers by Insurity to offer superior functionality and data processing across policy, claims and billing systems, according to the vendor. In addition to enhancing the customer experience, the solution offers Smart Configuration (i.e., no programming or scripting required) to expedite the implementation process, as well as ongoing self-sufficiency for changes to the user interface or business rules based on insurers’ specific needs. Additionally, plug-in integration allows the solution to seamlessly integrate with any of CAMICO’s internal or third-party systems, including clearance, data providers, rating engines, document management systems, and back-office accounting, Insurity says.

Tailored Solution

“Our years of experience working with specialty insurance organizations have helped us develop a sophisticated solution that is tailored to the nuances of these lines of businesses, and can serve as a trusted foundation for both existing and new products in the market,” comments Michele Shepard, Chief Revenue Officer, Insurity. “We are pleased to offer CAMICO superior design and technology that can grow with their organization as it changes, offering the speed-to-value that insurers require as competition increases.”
