Caixa Seguros Selects Guidewire Core Systems and Digital Portals

Brazil’s fifth largest insurance company will implement InsuranceSuite as its new platform for underwriting, rating, policy administration, claims, billing, and client data management, as well as Guidewire’s Digital Portals.

Caixa Seguros (Brasilia) has selected Guidewire Software’s (Foster City, Calif.) InsuranceSuite as its new platform for underwriting, rating, policy administration, claims, billing, and client data management, as well as Digital Portals to accelerate the carrier’s digital strategy, according to a joint statement.

“Guidewire’s international market reputation and thought leadership, track record of successful implementations, and local implementation experience in the Brazilian insurance marketplace, were important factors in our decision-making process,” comments Dominique Dieuzaide, CIO, Caixa Seguros. “We believe this strategic relationship will assist Caixa Seguros in growing our business while continuing our mission of providing dependable insurance coverage to our policyholders.”

The fifth largest insurance company in Brazil, Caixa Seguros is a partnership between the French insurance company CNP Assurances and Caixa Econômica Federal, the largest agent of public policies in the Brazilian government. With more than 40 products in its portfolio, the company offers insurance solutions and pension plans to more than 11 million customers nationwide. Considered one of the most profitable Brazilian insurers, Caixa Seguros earned a net profit of R$1.96 billion in 2015.
