BOLT Solutions, a provider of a distribution platform to the P&C insurance industry, has announced that it has joined today’s U.S. launch of Google Compare Auto Insurance aggregation and comparison site as a participating agency. Google Compare Auto Insurance, a version of which debuted in the U.K. in 2012, is an online auto insurance site designed to make the process of researching and purchasing auto insurance simple for consumers. The site is an attempt to meet and capitalize on changing consumer behavior by providing an easy quoting process accompanied by a smooth transition to the transaction stage. Consumers can use the site to search for, gain an understanding of, and quickly buy auto insurance policies online or through an agent.

“Consumers have come to trust the Google brand and rely on its history of providing immediate access and keeping processes streamlined and simple,” comments Eric Gewirtzman, CEO, Bolt. “Google’s broad distribution reach makes it a natural fit, albeit a distribution channel that is quite different than to what our industry is accustomed.”

“We see this move by Google as a tremendous opportunity for carriers to reach out and offer products to a wealth of buyers for which they may not otherwise have access,” Gewirtzman adds.

    Mr. O’Donnell,

You probably didn’t see this turn of events occurring when you reported about the wonders of Google Compare insurance services in your earlier March 5, 2015 article. Our firm, Insurance Snoopers, warned about the antitrust issues occurring in the US back in early March 2015, and nothing has been done to inform our US readers about Google’s SEO dominance! It is obvious what Google Compare intends to do here in the US with its control over mobile operating systems, apps, and pseudo insurance comparison services. So why not write about it?.
