bolt (part of Singapore-based bolttech) has launched an AI-powered insurance distribution platform designed to support distribution partners across lines of business, including admitted, E&S and wholesale markets.

Nga Phan, Head Product, North America, bolt.

The platform is intended to unify customer data, workflows and market access across the insurance distribution lifecycle, according to a bolt statement. The company says the platform supports independent agencies, brokerages, carriers, and consumer and commercial brands from prospecting and quoting through placement, servicing and renewal.

bolt describes the platform as part of a connected distribution operating model for revenue growth. The company says the technology is intended to help distribution partners reduce manual work, improve speed and deliver digital customer experiences at scale.

“Most AI tools in insurance solve one isolated problem,” comments Nga Phan, Head of Product, bolt. “bolt’s AI is built natively into the platform, so it doesn’t just engage customers conversationally across every channel; it autonomously executes the full distribution lifecycle.”

The platform combines AI-powered customer intelligence, AI-driven workflow execution and AI-enabled market access and quoting. bolt says its conversational AI engages customers across voice, SMS, chat and email, captures structured data from natural interactions, and combines that information with customer, risk and account history.

The company says its workflow AI can turn customer conversations into distribution actions, including quoting, routing, servicing, binding and CRM updates. The platform also connects distribution partners to multiple lines nationwide through API-based and non-API carrier workflows, using AI to automate carrier interactions and run quoting processes in parallel.

bolt says the platform is built on more than $85 billion in annual quoted premium and more than 5,000 product connections across core and specialty lines. The company says it integrates with existing technology stacks to support faster deployment and adoption.

Distribution partners using the platform have reported a twofold increase in high-intent lead conversion rates and a 34 percent increase in bound policies, according to bolt.

Matching Customer Expectations

Jorge Garcia, SVP, TRB Insurance, a subsidiary of Texas Regional Bank.

“Today’s banking customers expect a seamless e-commerce experience: fast and easy to navigate,” comments Jorge Garcia, SVP, TRB Insurance, a subsidiary of Texas Regional Bank. “bolt has helped us bring that same experience to insurance, and we’re now able to deliver a modern digital experience that better matches how customers expect to engage today.”

bolt says the platform is available nationwide. The company is offering a no-cost AI pilot for qualified distribution partners.

bolt provides distribution technology for P&C insurance. The company says its platform connects distributors and insurers across national and regional insurance markets.
