Blink Parametric Partners with Saskatchewan Blue Cross to Provide Flight Disruption Service

Saskatchewan Blue Cross will be offering policyholders a service whereby individuals can register for flight delay coverage up to one hour ahead of their departure time.

Blink Parametric (Cork, Ireland) has announced an expansion of its real-time flight disruption service through an agreement with Saskatchewan Blue Cross (Saskatoon) as part of a broader initiative set to enhance travel insurance coverage for traveling Canadians. Saskatchewan Blue Cross supports more than 130,000 members with health and wellness benefits, travel insurance and life insurance solutions.

Saskatchewan Blue Cross will be offering policyholders a service whereby individuals can register for flight delay coverage up to one hour ahead of their departure time, according to a Blink Parametric statement. Once registered, they’ll have access to an airport lounge and/or hotel access, and cash, depending on the length of the delay.

Blink Parametric offers customers what it calls a proactive real-time insurance service that meets the speed and convenience that customers greatly value by swiftly notifying travelers if a flight is delayed. Real-time event notification allows for a range of real-time assistance options to be delivered straight to the traveler, while delivering operational efficiency on processing high frequency, low severity claims for insurance partners.
