Blackcomb Consultants, a Chicago-based consulting firm operating throughout the Americas, and VCARVE, a Tallahassee-based staffing and solutions delivery organization, have formed a strategic merger to combine their consulting and solution delivery expertise to serve Guidewire Software (Foster City, Calif.) customers worldwide. Through the merger, Blackcomb Consultants gains the ability to provide additional services to its customers, and the firm increases the capacity of its Guidewire practice to over 100 staff globally.

The pending merger between the companies includes a wide range of business initiatives that will expand the capabilities of Blackcomb Consultants to both current and prospective Guidewire customers, according to a joint statement. Through the merger with VCARVE, Blackcomb Consultants will increase its delivery staff by more than 200 percent. All staff from VCARVE involved in Guidewire implementations will become part of Blackcomb Consultants. Through this addition of qualified staff, Blackcomb will be able to increase its scope and scalability to better serve its customers in three core areas of Guidewire focus:
- Guidewire InsurancePlatform implementations, which include core system, data-related, and digital products and initiatives;
- Production support, for clients implementing Guidewire solutions; and
- Cloud deployment and hosting of Guidewire products.
