Auto Club South Insurance Company (ACSIC; Dearborn, Mich.) has launched the AAADrive Insurance Discount in Florida, a platform that gives insurance customers the ability to view and receive a score of their driving behavior on their smartphones and earn potential discounts on their auto policies. The platform is powered by technology from The Floow (Detroit) called AAADrive.

AAADrive is featured within the AAAMobile app. The platform allows insurance companies to gather telematics-based data about driver behavior and more accurately predict risk. It benefits members by helping them to improve their driving and, in the case of policyholders, by obtaining a premium discount of up to 30 percent.

“ACSIC is committed to helping to keep its customers safe,” comments Anthony Ptasznik, VP and ACIA Chief Actuarial Officer, AAA–The Auto Club Group (ACG). “AAADrive will now reward our customers for their good driving behavior. This new technology is just one example of how AAA–The Auto Club Group continuously offers innovative solutions and outstanding benefits to our AAA members and customers.”

The core technology behind AAADrive is the FloowDrive platform, created by The Floow.

“The Floow has enjoyed a strong relationship with ACG since 2015, and this new launch is a continuation of that relationship,” comments John Kramer, VP and Head of North American Operations, The Floow. “ACG was one of The Floow’s first U.S. based customers. We are proud to see our relationship grow through a program that supports our companies’ collective mission, which is to make drivers safer.”
