Ascot Promotes Elizabeth Duncan to Ascot Bermuda CFO and Group Controller

Duncan joined the company in April 2018 as Financial Controller of Ascot Bermuda, following the incorporation of Ascot’s Bermuda-domiciled entities.

Ascot Group (London) has promoted Elizabeth Duncan to Ascot Bermuda Chief Financial Officer and Group Controller. In this newly expanded role, Duncan will continue her Financial Controller responsibilities at the group level, as well as assume the management of all financial activities for the Bermuda entity, according to a statement from the reinsurer.

Duncan joined the company in April 2018 as Financial Controller of Ascot Bermuda (Hamilton, Bermuda), following the incorporation of Ascot’s Bermuda-domiciled entities. Her role has spanned both accounting and financial reporting, and she serves as a key member of the Ascot Bermuda executive group.

Duncan is a qualified Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Ascot, she held the role of VP, Corporate Finance and Head of Group FP&A at Enstar Group Limited (Hamilton, Bermuda). Duncan began her career at KPMG (Amstelveen, Netherlands), where she spent more than seven years in both their New Zealand and Bermuda offices.

Duncan is a graduate of the University of Otago (Dunedin, New Zealand) with a Bachelor of Commerce and holds her ARE, Associate in Reinsurance, CPA, Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda and her CA, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand qualifications.
