Applied Systems (Chicago) has launched an agentic email-to-quote submission channel for carriers, powered by Cytora (London).
The new capability is designed to let carriers automatically quote commercial insurance submissions received by email from brokers, according to an Applied statement. Applied says the product turns unstructured broker email submissions into carrier-ready quotes without requiring manual intake.

The email-to-quote channel ingests broker submissions, extracts and structures risk data, classifies the submission, applies carrier underwriting requirements and pricing, and returns a quote, decline or referral to the broker by email. Applied says the response is threaded against the original broker message.
The capability is intended to make email, still a common submission channel, usable for straight-through processing. Applied says carriers can use the product to accelerate response times from days to minutes and improve win rates on email-submitted business outside portals or API-based broker connections.
Winning Business While the Deal is Still Live

For brokers, Applied says the channel is designed to preserve existing email-based workflows while reducing the need to enter data across multiple carrier portals and commercial raters. The company says the capability can help brokers reach additional markets with less friction.
Email-to-quote currently supports admitted small commercial lines where carrier straight-through-processing APIs are available. Supported lines include business owners policy, general liability, workers’ compensation, commercial auto, cyber, professional liability, inland marine and umbrella.
