Ana Seguros Selects Octo Telematics to Launch Mexico’s First UBI Program

The program offers premium discounts using driving behavior scoring, distracted driver monitoring, crash and claims management, and location-based services.

Ana Seguros (Mexico City), a member company of Grupo Valore, has launched Mexico’s first usage-based insurance (UBI) program, Ana Telematics, powered by Octo Telematics (Rome). Ana Telematics’ program lets customers save on their auto insurance based on their driving habits using driving behavior scoring, distracted driver monitoring, crash and claims management, and location-based services.

Using  Octo Telematics’ telematics database and industry expertise, Ana Seguros is able to customize insurance premiums, encourage safer driving habits and offer new discounts add additional value for its customers, according to a vendor statement. Octo says its Internet of Things (IoT) next-generation platform enables Ana Seguros to not only track driving habits of policyholders, but also the use and health of their vehicles.
