Amica Mutual (Lincoln, R.I.), the oldest mutual auto insurer in the U.S., has engaged Sollers Consulting (Warsaw) to support the integration of Guidewire Rating Management as its new rating engine. Amica will decommission its existing legacy rating engine to increase the speed-to-market of rating changes and support new advances in rating plan data and precision, according to a vendor statement. The project is one of the last steps of an IT modernization effort aimed at digitalization.
“We have previously partnered with Sollers Consulting to achieve our technology goals and are confident in their ability to deliver complex projects in a highly self-managed delivery model,” comments Peter Moreau, SVP and CIO, Amica.
The decisive factors for Amica’s selection of Sollers Consulting were its expertise in insurance rating solutions and its understanding of the U.S. market. Previously, Sollers Consulting worked with Amica to develop a middle layer mechanism for creating policy documents based on the Guidewire (San Mateo, Calif.) PolicyCenter policy administration system.
Decisive Step Forward in Digitalization
‘We are happy to support Amica,” comments Marcin Pluta, Managing Partner, Sollers Consulting. “With our common experience in remote work we can continue projects even under the difficult conditions we are currently witnessing. Amica has proven its impressive ability to innovate and digitalize. The implementation of a new rating engine will be a decisive step forward in digitalization.”
Sollers, which provides business and IT consulting, has supported 28 Guidewire implementations, is member of Guidewire’s PartnerConnect partner program and holds four Guidewire specializations.
