AMA Insurance Pleases Users with MajescoMastek Insurance Billing Solution

After what an AMA Insurance executive calls a smooth, well-managed implementation, STG Billing is production for the carrier’s personal and commercial auto, property and accident insurance lines.

The Alberta Motor Association Insurance Company (AMA Insurance) has launched MajescoMastek’s STG Billing to the plaudits of users, according to Bob Hillman, VP, Finance for the Edmonton-based direct writer of P&C products. The carrier is in production with the solution for personal and commercial auto, property and accident insurance.

“While the system was highly functional out-of-the-box, the configuration capabilities offered with STG Billing enabled us to modify the system to meet our specific needs,” Hillman comments. “The system was immediately a big hit with our users. Its’ been a great experience from the beginning, and we look forward to working with MajescoMastek to maximize the benefits of the system.

Benefits AMA has already begun to enjoy from the STG Billing deployment, according to the vendor, include accurate, highly efficient and automated billing and receivable processes; a modern and flexible operation for payments, disbursement and collections functions; and a significant reduction in manual processes.

The project to implement STG Billing at AMA Insurance included the migration of thousands of policies to MS SQL, representing more than five years of transactional data previously maintained in what MajescoMastek characterizes as an obscure source database.

“This is one of the smoothest and most well-managed implementations that I have seen,” Hillman adds. “I’m pleased with the work from MajescoMastek, as well as with the quality of the STG Billing solution.”

The vendor describes STG Billing as 100 percent Java-based and containing tools to define custom business rules and design payment, collection, disbursement and delinquency plans, creating organization-specific solutions and greater business value. MajescoMastek asserts that STG Billing provides flexible workflow management that streamlines the collection of payments while increasing cash flow, without sacrificing accuracy or consistency. The application has the ability to support multiple channels and levels of billing, which brings the value of STG Billing to more stakeholders in the business process, a vendor statement elaborates.
