Ally Financial, a Detroit-based digital financial services company offering range of financial services and insurance products to automotive dealerships and consumers, has announced that Sathish Muthukrishnan has joined the company as chief information, data and digital officer. Muthukrishnan will lead Ally’s technology, data and digital transformation teams, with a focus on advanced technical capabilities, including cyber security and infrastructure, as well as accelerating the company’s growth as a leading digital financial services provider, according to an Ally statement. Muthukrishnan reports to Ally CEO, Jeffrey J. Brown, and is based in Charlotte, N.C.

Muthukrishnan’s senior technology leadership roles include serving as chief digital and information officer for Honeywell Aerospace. Prior to Honeywell, Muthukrishnan spent 10 years at American Express leading the company’s digital transformation efforts. A graduate of University of Madras, Chennai, with a degree in engineering specializing in computer science, Muthukrishnan has a passion for innovation with a history of having filed more than 25 patents in the manufacturing, payments and digital technology space.
