Alaska National Insurance Company will implement Insurity’s (Hartford) Forms Authoring Tool, a component of the Insurance Decisions Suite. The carrier has an existing relationship with the vendor, having deployed Policy Decisions. The vendor made the announcement this morning at the IASA Annual Educational Conference and Business Show in Las Vegas.

Alaska National’s implementation will replace a legacy print solution and manage over 5,000 forms in use at the commercial lines insurer, Insurity reports. The Forms Authoring Tool provides what the vendor characterizes as an end-to-end lifecycle administration of forms and policy documents, including automated management of form creation and configuration, electronic delivery capability, and print.
The insurer anticipates that replacing its current manually-intensive form management processes will enhance accuracy, data quality, and regulatory compliance while delivering a significant expense reduction and fast return on investment.
“We thoroughly evaluated the market and found that the functionality of the Forms Authoring Tool was a superior value over other offering,” comments Bernie Raven, executive VP, Underwriting, Alaska National Insurance Company. “No other vendor offered a comparable tool with integrated bureau content. It provides full automation and print capabilities and allows us to put control of form management in the hands of business users.”
Confidence and Trust
“Additionally, as a long-time Insurity client, we have confidence and trust in their ability to deliver capabilities we need throughout the entire policy administration process,” Raven adds.
As part of Insurance Decisions Suite, the Forms Authoring Tool will augment Alaska National’s existing deployment of Policy Decisions and streamline the overall implementation process. The intuitive interface of the Forms Authoring Tool will also enable users to quickly become proficient with the system without the need for extensive training or change management, the vendor asserts.
