Activer Solutions, a Marlborough, Mass.-based strategic service company providing business process outsourcing solutions to the property/casualty insurance industry, has named Ernie Feirer as Chief Marketing Officer. The vendor characterizes the creation of the new role as reflecting the company’s preparation for growth, expansion of partnerships, and new services and capabilities.
“We are in a growth phase and are actively preparing for the future by enhancing our strategy and go to market capabilities,” comments Jeffrey Glazer, CEO, Activer Solutions. “I’ve known Ernie for many years and knew he was the right person to help me take Activer Solutions to the next level.”
In the CMO role, Feirer will oversee the go-forward strategy for all aspects of the company, including sales, marketing, partnerships, and growth initiatives, according to an Activer Solutions statement.

Feirer has over 25 years of experience in the property/casualty insurance industry, where he has established and built high-growth, profitable businesses. Feirer’s background includes roles in general management, sales support, marketing, product development, IT, strategic alliances, acquisitions, budgeting, operations management, and software development.
Before joining Activer Solutions, Feirer was VP and General Manager, Commercial Insurance, for LexisNexis Risk Solutions (Atlanta), where he was responsible for a portfolio of products and services for the commercial insurance market. In his previous role at LexisNexis, Feirer served as VP and General Manager, Claims, where he played the central role in building a claims-focused business to complement LexisNexis’ data and underwriting business. Before LexisNexis, he was responsible for the operations of ISO’s claims data and analytics business. Feirer earned a master’s degree in computer science and an MBA in marketing from Iona College. He also has a Certified Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
