ACORD (New York and London) has appointed Joe Brace and Jennifer Kyung to its Board of Directors.
Brace is Operations Director, Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA), and Kyung is SVP, Business Performance Office, Nationwide, according to an ACORD statement.
Brace was appointed Operations Director, LMA, in April 2025. In that role, he works with operations and technology executives at Lloyd’s managing agents, Lloyd’s Corporation and London Market trade associations. His responsibilities include representing LMA members’ interests in market modernization and digitization initiatives and contributing to the design, adoption and evolution of shared central services.
Kyung leads the P&C Business Performance Office at Nationwide, with responsibility for shared operations and services, sales business solutions, integrated planning, risk management, technical excellence, performance standards and data.
Before joining Nationwide in 2025, Kyung held leadership roles in property/casualty insurance, including Chief Underwriting Officer, USAA; roles in underwriting quality, product management and operations at Zurich North America; and underwriting and transformation consulting roles in the global practices of EY and Accenture.

The appointments follow ACORD’s recent naming of John Kellington as CEO. Kellington, a former Cincinnati Insurance CIO and longtime ACORD Board member, previously served in senior standards, technology, finance and membership roles at ACORD.
ACORD’s Board is chaired by Robert Kelly AM, Founder, Managing Director and CEO, Steadfast Group. Kevin Tobin serves as Vice-Chair and Outside Director.
Other Board members represent organizations including The Hartford, Aon, London Insurance Market Operations & Strategic Sourcing, WTW, International Underwriting Association, Chubb, Managing General Agents’ Association, M Financial Group, Swiss Re, AIG, Travelers, Munich Re, Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and AXA XL.
ACORD is the global standards-setting body for the insurance and related financial services industries. The organization develops electronic standards, standardized forms and related tools to support data exchange and workflow efficiency across insurance and reinsurance markets.
