ACE Group (Zurich) has signed a partnership agreement with Amsterdam-based Transavia to provide the low-cost airline’s customers with travel and flight cancellation insurance coverage. Transavia, a member of the AIR FRANCE-KLM Group, provides scheduled and charter flights to over 100 destinations in Europe and North Africa. The agreement is part of ACE’s ongoing strategy to expand its travel insurance partnerships in Europe.
“At Transavia, we want to provide our customers with affordable, high-quality insurance and hospitality digital services,” comments Paul de Raad, VP Marketing and E-commerce, Transavia. “In ACE, we have found a partner that fits well with our overall strategy and can provide our customers with bespoke insurance solutions that add value to their travel experience.”
Travelers who book flights via the Transavia website will be able to add travel and cancellation insurance coverage provided by ACE, according to a statement from the insurer. The coverage became available as of February 23 in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
ACE already serves as the travel insurance provider for a number of major airlines, online travel agencies and financial institutions.
“We are proud to be working with such a successful airline as Transavia,” says Arjen van Dun, manager, Accident & Health and Personal Lines Manager for ACE in Benelux. “The airline’s customers will be able to benefit from our travel and flight cancellation offering which combines an attractive price, good terms and above all excellent support in case of emergency and claims.”
