1insurer (Farmington, Conn.; Whiteley, U.K.) has appointed Yogesh Shinde Chief Technology Officer. The vendor couches the announcement in terms of building on recent successes and accelerating its growth across key markets.

Shinde joins 1insurer from OptumInsight (part of UnitedHealth Group) where he led the strategic development of the company’s technology teams and the development and delivery of its software portfolio including analytics, population management, care coordination, and Healthcare Information Exchange. Shinde has more than 30 years experience in technology and software development across a range of disciplines, including R&D, collaborative product design and emerging technologies in an Agile environment.

“Yogesh joins an experienced team at 1insurer, with an attractive product portfolio and a solid international customer base,” comments Zeina Bain, Managing Director at The Carlyle Group. “We continue to invest in the people and technologies at 1insurer. Yogesh’s successful track record in innovation and product design will enable 1insurer to continue responding more flexibly to a rapidly changing market and in the long-term interests and benefits of its customers.”
