West Bend Mutual Insurance Company, a West Bend, Wisc.-based P&C carrier, has selected Sapiens’ (Holon, Israel) Reinsurance solution to better manage and control its reinsurance business and related processes. The carrier chose the Sapiens solution based on its functionality set and the vendor’s ability to deliver within a tight timeframe. The solution is planned to go live before the end of the year.

The vendor describes Sapiens Reinsurance as a comprehensive business and accounting solution designed to support the entire range of reinsurance contracts and activities for all lines of business. Sapiens further characterizes the solution as a state-of-the-art software product that enables insurers and brokers to handle all reinsurance activities on a single platform.

“We were impressed with the technology and comprehensive capabilities offered by the Sapiens Reinsurance solution,” comments Heather Dunn, vice president and controller, West Bend. “The implementation of a new reinsurance system is a long term commitment, so part of our evaluation process was taking a close look at the vendor’s organization. We were especially pleased with Sapiens’ partnership approach and we felt their commitment to our success foreshadows how they will continue to value the relationship.”

Sapiens has seen increased demand for its Reinsurance Solution both in the U.S. and globally, claims Roni Al-Dor, president and CEO, Sapiens. “We strongly believe that our commitment to our clients and partnership approach bring just as much value as our software and are critical components to delivering a complete solution and sustainable value.”

West Bend Mutual operates throughout the Midwest, offering a broad personal lines coverage package, a full range of commercial products and services, and insurance for specialty lines. The carrier employs more than 1,000 associates and is represented by approximately 1,200 independent insurance agencies.
