Topa Insurance, one of the wholly owned subsidiaries of Topa Insurance Group (Calabasas, Calif.), a boutique insurance holding company providing wholesale insurance solutions, has promoted Ben Rozema to the role of Director of Programs. In his new role, Rozema will be responsible for the P&L of all program business as well as the relationships with all program partners.
“Ben has fostered essential relationships with our program partners and has been instrumental in the deployment of our new premier commercial package program,” comments Denise Pavlov, SVP & Chief Underwriting Officer, Topa Insurance. “This is a well-deserved promotion and I am excited to see what he will bring to this new role.”
Rozema joined Topa Insurance in 2017 as a Senior Product Manager and was promoted to Group Product Manager in August 2018. Over the past two years, Rozema played a key role in Topa’s Core Systems Project, including cultivating essential partner relationships. Recently, Rozema was instrumental in development, testing and launch of Topa’s new BOP product, TPCI (Topa Premier Commercial Insurance). His previous experience includes roles at Farmers Insurance (Los Angeles) and Atlas General Insurance Services (San Diego).
Rozema has been a core contributor in the development of various products and processes, as well as defining enterprise data warehouses, according to Harris Hur, AVP, Product & Program Management, Topa Insurance. “He has also been instrumental in supporting me with the creation and implementation of our hybrid product Topa Premier Commercial Insurance. In his new role, he will work closely with various program managers for both growth and performance of Topa’s strategic programs, one of the key pillars of Topa Insurance Company.”
