Pekin Insurance Drives Digital Strategy with iPipeline New Business Platform

The insurer will initially deploy the vendor’s New Business Acquisition Platform to automate annual enrollment for Medicare Supplement customers.

Pekin Insurance (Pekin, Ill.) has selected iPipeline’s (Exton, Pa.) New Business Acquisition Platform for Medicare Supplement to automate annual enrollment activities and improve customer satisfaction. The insurer’s solution, which includes quoting, illustrations, and the iGO e-Application for in-good-order submissions, will be deployed to 8,500 independent agents and 1,500 agencies nationwide, according to an iPipeline statement.

Speed and accuracy are critical during the open enrollment period for Medicare Supplement,  notes Joel Jackson, VP, Marketing, Pekin Insurance. “The ability of our agents to rapidly respond to customer queries is important to every individual involved in the buying and selling process,” he comments. “Using iPipeline’s integrated solution will deliver new efficiencies, improve customer service, and help us to attract new agents.”

Jackson couches Pekin’s selection as a manifestation of the insurer’s commitment to superior service for its customers, and says that iPipeline’s broadly used quoting, illustrations, and e-application will serve as key components in the company’s our digital transformation strategy. Jackson implies that Medicare Supplement is only the first line of business the insurer will place on iPipeline’s new business platform. “Our goal is to continue to expand our digital capabilities to improve the agent and customer experience in 2018 and beyond,” he comments.
