Insular Life Deploys Adrenalin eSystems’ HCM Solution

The insurer selected the solution to streamline HR processes, digitize the employee experience and accelerate the digital transformation efforts of the company.

The Insular Life Assurance Company, Ltd. (Muntinlupa City, Philippines) has deployed Adrenalin, a global HCM solution offered by Adrenalin eSystems Limited (Chennai, India), a group company of Intellect Design Arena Ltd. (Mumbai). Having rebranded the solution as I-CON, the insurer selected the solution to streamline HR processes, digitize the employee experience and accelerate the company’s digital transformation efforts.

The Philippines’ oldest and largest life insurance company—founded in 1910—Insular Life offers individual and group life, health and retirement insurance products. The insurer currently employs over 780 employees and operates more than 50 offices across the Philippines archipelago.

Insular life sought a solution to help it deal more efficiently with changing market decisions and their impact on staffing. The insurer sought a comprehensive, easy to understand, centralized HR system that could help them overcome the following challenges, according to an Adrenalin eSystems statement:

  • Optimizing value of 201 File for purposes of decision making;
  • Facilitating benefits administration vis-à-vis separate approaches for different employee groups;
  • Providing accurate references for employee development and movements based on required and actual competency levels; and
  • Streamlining processes and reduce paper routing in personnel administration.

Following a rigorous evaluation process, Insular Life chose to work with Adrenalin eSystems and selected Adrenalin HR modules, including HR Foundation, Employee Life Cycle, Workforce Administration, Self Service, Reports (iReporter) to help consolidate its HR system, provide a digital experience for employees, and to provide real-time employee insights for management’s decision, according to Adrenaline.

The Digitalization of HR

Insular Life will use the Adrenaline-powered I-CON system to improve the efficiency of HR processes, consolidate and improve the accuracy of HR-related data, reduce paper use, creating a communication channel for management and the employees through employee portal, and ease of access to employee related insights, the vendor reports.
