Appalachian Underwriters Selects ValueMomentum Rating Software, Digital Engagement Platform

Appalachian Underwriters Inc. (AUI, Oak Ridge, Tenn.) has selected ValueMomentum’s iFoundry Rating Engine and BizDynamics software for enabling rating & online quoting for its AssetGuard personal lines program for valuable personal articles. AUI, ranked as the nation’s 5th largest MGA, specializes in workers’ compensation, commercial specialty, personal lines, and brokerage.

AUI’s AssetGuard is a well-established program a while, but its quote and policy issuance process relied heavily on manual processes, according to Robert J. Arowood, President, Appalachian Underwriters, who says the company tackled the challenge in the spirit of its “Business Made Ease” commitment to agents.

“The program was very well received and we wanted to enable online rate-quote-bind to our agents,” Arowood comments. “When we evaluated ValueMomentum’s rating software and digital engagement platform we realized it would be a good fit to help us continue our tradition of making business easy for our agents. It provides us the flexibility to configure and launch online rating and quoting to our agents.”

Meeting the Need to Execute Like InsurTechs
