Amica Fully Deployed on InsuranceSuite with Go-Live on Guidewire BillingCenter

The insurer, live on Guidewire PolicySuite since 2012, characterizes the initiative as a step on the journey to a single billing platform.

Amica Mutual Insurance Company (Lincoln, R.I.) has deployed Guidewire (Foster City, Calif.) BillingCenter to manage its billing operations, including agency and direct bill for all of its lines of business. The insurer went live on Guidewire PolicyCenter in 2012 and is now a fully deployed Guidewire InsuranceSuite customer.

Amica selected and deployed BillingCenter as part of a continuing business transformation initiative to modernize its core systems, according to a joint carrier/vendor statement. The insurer has implemented BillingCenter across all personal lines of business and jurisdictions where it does business concurrently.

Amica has already seen benefits since deplying BillingCenter, including real-time processing, greater ease-of-use and speed of making system changes, according to Greg Calderiso, assistant VP, corporate information systems, Amica’s. “We have received positive feedback from our frontline users, who have said that BillingCenter provides enhancements that enable them to deliver fast and accurate service to our customers,” he comments.
