Allianz Names Allison Windon Head of Customer Strategy and Sales Innovation for North America

In the newly created role, Windon will develop and lead customer-driven strategies for prospective and existing client and broker channels in the region.

Allianz Group’s (Munich) specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS, Chicago) announced that it has appointed Allison Windon Regional Head of Customer Strategy and Sales Innovation in North America, effective immediately. Based in Chicago, Windon reports to Rani Christie, North American Head of Sales, AGCS.

In the newly created role, Windon will develop and lead customer-driven strategies for prospective and existing client and broker channels in the region, according to an Allianz statement. She will also work collaboratively across Allianz globally to identify best practices and develop shared go-to-market strategies to enhance client experience. In that capacity, she will have oversight over large broker relationships, according to the statement.

Windon most recently served as AGCS Global Customer Experience Director in Munich, where she built and led the award-winning AGCS Global Customer Experience program called True Customer Centricity. The initiative was established in 2015 and brings a consistent global approach to listening to and responding to client and broker needs, according to Allianz. The program spans 22 countries and is carried out in 16 languages across all AGCS regions.

Prior to Allianz, Windon was Director of Strategic Growth Initiatives at Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich), where she worked on customer acquisition strategies, executive thought leadership and brand reputation. She began her career at Aon where she held positions of increasing responsibility for nearly a decade.

Windon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Studies from the University of Richmond (Virginia), and an MBA focusing on Marketing and Strategy from The University of Chicago.
